With the support of the Passaic County Commissioners, Passaic County’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP) has launched. This program is aimed at helping tenant households who are having financial difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Applications for rental assistance must be made by tenants and their landlords, but payments will be made directly to the landlord. This program will provide rental arrears to low- and moderate-income households who have qualified for unemployment benefits or experienced a financial hardship due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Passaic County will start accepting applications starting May 17, 2021.
